Position Summary
The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks to hire a highly motivated Short-Term Casual position for the Molecular Pathology Shared Resource Core.
Responsibilities
- Assist with routine histology services from grossing to processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of tissues (including tissue microarray-related work).
- Assist with cutting frozen sections with cryostat.
- Aid in the maintenance of the tissue bank.
- Assist with carrying out histology laboratory functions including but not limited to order taking, data entry, ordering supplies, and maintaining records.
- Assist with constructing tissue microarrays and perform tissue microdissection.
- Assist in all aspects of laboratory functions including equipment maintenance, supplies, and records.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Enrollment
Other Requirements
- Strong computer skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
